'PERMANENT MEMORIES'
Concrete tiles have the ability to modify any place and make specific personality.
The idea was recreate spaces by embossing an object with a certain sentimental significance into cement and plaster.
The embossed areas of the objects were representing a permanent memory or emotion associated with that object and the idea to have them printed into tiles or bricks was supposed to be a constant reminder of that 'memory,' it would be on show in a home for people to observe, feel and admire, ultimately making that space feel more like their own. The gathered tiles or bricks would be a showpiece in the home or space.
Additionally, I also wanted to test how light bounces of the textured surfaces of the tiles, creating interesting shadows.
