'DISTORTION'

Visualising music and the emotional effects it has on us.

Inspired by Carsten Nicolai, I wanted to experiment how I could allow music to be seen visually. Using a bowl of water on top of a bass speaker, I reflected light onto the surface of the water to capture the effects the music vibrations had on the reflection.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT

The idea of this project is that I would eventually create a sensory experience open to the public. Due to Covid19, I wasn't able to complete project and complete a lot of the user testings at home as documented in this PDF below.
